Service Description

If you're not ready or able to start developing your horse yet, but you want to learn about gaining more control, balance and precision, the Horsemanship Clinic Fence Sitter positions are designed for you. In these clinics, we start by explaining the fundamentals and then applying them to more advanced work as the horse and rider are able to master them — including the tools and how to use them to get horses lighter and more responsive at the Fundamentals Clinic; collection and stops, rollbacks and spins, diagonals and leads, and working through show-style patterns at the Intermediate Clinic; and reading cattle, position and timing, controlling movement and building confidence around cattle at the Cattle Working Clinic. Our aim is always applying horsemanship in a practical working environment. The focus isn't just on completing the manoeuvre. It's about helping you understand what you're asking for, how to prepare your horse for it, and how to recognise when things are starting to come together. We keep rider numbers capped, so that I can spend real time with each horse-and-rider combination throughout the session. If you're looking for your next step in your horsemanship journey and ultimately becoming a more capable, confident rider, I'd love to have you join us. Book your fence sitting position on the calendar below.
